Lucy attended California State University-San Bernardino with a dual major in Business Administration with concentration in Management and Entrepreneurial majors, and a minor in Human Resources. Lucy’s efforts earned her Bachelors degree as well as a third place regional finalist at the annual Entrepreneurial Awards Competition in 2007 for the state of California. She then received the Spirit Entrepreneur Award in 2008 for the Inland Empire area. That recognition got her on the cover of Fender Bender Magazine, a video spot on PBS for the show Biz Kids, and an interview with the 951 Inland SoCal’s Leadership Magazine.
Lucy and her husband Isaac Gallardo made a perfect match since both had the same dream of being business owners, overcoming their personal struggles as teens they kept persevering. In 2004, they purchased Abba Detailing. They had some success with the detail business but they knew they could do much more. At the time they decided to put Lucy’s educational background and Isaac’s collision work experience to the test.
In 2006, they expanded the business and became Inland Empire Auto Body & Paint Inc.
Over the years they’ve out grown each facility due to their continuance growth and in 2009, Inland Empire Autobody & Paint, Inc. was voted and won best body shop by MyFox LA’s HotList for the Inland Empire area.
The Gallardo’s are committed to being an inspiration to youngsters in the community. Lucy continues to be a mentor at John W. North High School for the Global Business Information Technology Academy, while Isaac is an AYSO soccer coach and they sponsor the Ramona High School Cheerleading Team, Poly High School Baseball Team and John W. North High School GBIT Academy. They continue to share their story, encouraging youngsters to stay in school, reach for their goals and don’t let hard times stop you from following your dreams.
